Brett Ommen

Brett Ommen graduated from Northern Illinois University, where he was a national quarter-finalist (Impromptu Speaking) and state champion (Communication Analysis) in public speaking. He received his MA and P.h.D. in Communication from Northwestern University and went on to teach at the University of North Dakota, the University of Illinois - Chicago, and Loyola University Chicago. His book, The Politics of the Superficial, came out from the University of Alabama Press and he coaches high-school debate in his free time.
