Michael is the Director of Liberty University’s nationally-ranked debate team, a position he has held since 2007. Michael’s teams have finished the season ranked first by both the American Debate Association and Cross Examination Debate Association seven times in the last ten years. Michael’s expertise is in the practical application of public speaking and persuasive principles to high-stakes speeches, presentations, and debates. This expertise informs his consulting work with political and business leaders.
Since 2004, he has assisted political candidates at the federal and state level with messaging strategy and preparation for speeches, interviews, and debates. Michael has worked with more than 25 candidates for the United States Senate, more than a dozen gubernatorial candidates, and three presidential candidates.
